Can Meta Muse be our company’s AI assistant?

You can start by finding out what the product actually does. Do not hand over the company’s orders, payments, or the LINE official account.

On 8 September 2026 Meta introduced Muse as a personal agent with its own secure virtual computer and browser. That post started the rollout in the US. On 29 September, Muse for Small Business added a goal you can give it, such as finding customers or clearing daily work. Connectors include Asana, Canva, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe, QuickBooks, and Facebook and Instagram business accounts. The same page says nothing publishes, sends, or spends without your approval.

That approval line is worth keeping. It matches how we wire support: the assistant may look up and draft, and a person sees a write before it hits an order or a customer. The difference is where the button lives. Muse’s button is inside their product, and the small-business note is about the US and Canada. A shop in Taipei whose buyers use LINE does not get that button on the official account.

Before a trial, three questions all need an answer. Can you sign in today. If the screen says this country is not open yet, it is not your support system. Is the back office you actually use on the connector list. LINE is not on it, and neither is an order system you built yourself. Do not export the customer list to a CSV and paste it into the chat to get around that. The pasted list is still customer data. Can it send mail after you have left for the day. The help text says it needs your approval before it sends. You still open the tool list yourself, remove send, refund, and price changes, and leave drafts.

The business profile can be used as well, with a smaller scope. Smaller means it only sorts messages. It does not reply. If Muse can read the Instagram or Facebook business account, it can turn yesterday’s messages into a list for the person on duty. That is safer than letting it reply in the thread. Prices and delivery dates may only quote sentences already on the service page. Do not let it invent a discount.

Our path is the other one. On LINE and the form, knowledge is approved first, a lead is shown before it is sent, and low confidence goes to a person. That scope is on the service page. Muse does not replace it. If a Taiwan login appears later and the connector really is your back office, apply the same send-only-after-approval rule. Until then, a personal Muse does not get the company inbox. Same rule as work mail off a personal account.

Two questions a buyer actually asks

“The ad says Muse can run my business. Do we skip LINE support?” Open the connector list. No official account means you still need a path on LINE, with a confirm before a write. Muse sorting profile messages is a separate conversation. It does not replace orders.

The other one happens on a Friday. A colleague installed Muse on a personal phone and connected the support Gmail, just to try it. The company workspace has no switch for that, so the company cannot see what was connected and cannot turn it off. Disconnect it the same day. The shared inbox stays only on tools the company has already reviewed.

Questions

Can Muse connect our LINE official account?

LINE is not in the published connector list. Shopify, Slack, Stripe, Facebook, and Instagram are. Do not hand a password for a tool that is not listed.

If it will not send without approval, can we connect the support inbox?

The approval control is in a product offered in the US and Canada. Your buyers are in Taiwan and the inbox is the company’s. Drafts are fine. A person still sends.

Is this the same thing as LINE support?

No. Muse is an agent inside Meta’s apps. LINE support sits on your official account and answers from knowledge you approved. Do not merge the logins.
